Marathon, awareness cum exhibition and extension lecture on Mission Life organized by EIACP centers of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change
Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva inaugurated the marathon, awareness cum exhibition and extension lecture under the Mission LiFE campaign in Kurukshetra University today. On this occasion Vice Chancellor also formally inaugurated the activities of the Eco Club of Kurukshetra University and administered the oath of Mission LiFE to everyone
On this occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva said that youth can do better work to protect the environment. He said that Mission Life is proving to be a people’s movement to make India self-reliant and closer to nature. In 2021, India gave the mantra of environmental lifestyle to the world from the platform of United Nation.
The program was organized under the joint aegis of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) India and Kurukshetra University in collaboration with the EIACP program of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. On March 23rd all students will also participate in the Earth Hour program and will be a part of the world campaign
16. Security
EX TIGER TRIUMPH – 24
In consonance with the established partnership between India and the US, a bilateral tri-Service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise between both countries, Tiger Triumph – 24, is scheduled on the Eastern Seaboard from 18 to 31 Mar 24. Indian Navy Ships with integral helicopters and landing crafts embarked, Indian Navy aircraft, Indian Army personnel and vehicles and Indian Air Force aircraft and helicopters along with the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT) would be participating in the exercise. The US would be represented by US Navy Ships with embarked troops of the US Marine Corps and US Army. The exercise is aimed at developing interoperability for conducting HADR operations and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enable rapid and smooth coordination between forces of both countries.
The Harbour Phase is scheduled from 18 to 25 Mar 24. Personnel from both navies would participate in Training Visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Sports Events and Social interactions. On completion of the Harbour Phase, the ships, with the troops embarked, would sail for the Sea Phase and undertake Maritime, Amphibious and HADR operations in accordance with injected situations.
